Joellen Spacek is a seasoned nonprofit leader with over 30 years of experience advancing equity, driving strategic growth, coalition building, and community impact across Minnesota and the United States. As Senior Director of Affiliate Impact at MENTOR, she led national initiatives supporting 25 Affiliates and diverse leaders, generating $1.5 million annually and advancing mentoring through data-driven strategies and relationship-centered leadership. She previously served as the founding Executive Director of MENTOR Minnesota, where she built the organization over two decades into a nationally recognized, high-impact model for customized youth mentoring solutions and centering relationships to help young people thrive. Her leadership has consistently centered on equity, innovation, and authentic collaboration.

Joellen has served on several non-profit boards, is a Bush Foundation Leadership Fellow and a Certified Organizational Development Coach, with deep expertise in leadership development, nonprofit best practices, fiscal management, fund development, strategic planning, executive search, policy and advocacy, and board governance and engagement. She holds a master’s degree in public affairs from the University of Minnesota Humphrey Institute and a BA in Organizational Communications and Marketing from Creighton University, where she earned a Division I athletic scholarship. Joellen is happiest with dirt under her nails, hanging with a mentee, doing a project with her husband, after a good sweat at the gym, a book in her lap, a quiet stretch of water to lounge beside, and feeding her grown adult children that really should know how to cook by now.
